As a basketball junkie, there is nothing left to say…The Final Game. The game where everything find its meaning. Why having a philosophy? Why spending mornings in the gym? Twice a day, weight rooms, chalkboards, scouting reports, rebounding, scoring, defending…It all takes place, finally. From a coaching-fan stand point, we wait all year long to see who is going to win it all, how will coaches manage their last games, who is the toughest…The last game of the season, the game nobody wants to miss, the game everyone wants to watch live, the game we all dream to coach…
Personally, I always wish to see an underdog win it all, but don’t get me wrong: I am not talking about dream-streak upsets that wouldn’t happen twice. I am not talking about one-hit-wonders. I am talking about the real underdogs: the team from an obscure conference, with an identity, with an incredible ‘’team mind-set’’, with the passion that it takes to beat the best teams in the country. Well, for my birthday, not only I got to see an underdog team, I got to see the Butler Bulldogs.
